Zeaks Blog Hacked

Sorry for the downtime and I apologize for any comments or questions that may have disappeared. My hosting account was compromised this week, two of my DEV sites and this site were damage in the process. Luckily I had a fairly recent backup of this site, but unfortunately I lost about three weeks of work on the new Twenty Plus theme I’ve been trying to release along with a few other small projects. I left the site offline until I was sure (hopefully) my account had been secured.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to make regular backups of your website including database backups. Be sure to always remove unused ftp accounts and secure empty directories with at least an index.html file.

Anyways, if you had any questions that have vanished, feel free to ask them again!

I understand what you’re dealing with because my webhost and websites were also hacked. It’s taken a long while to get things back up and running but I had to secure the vps using CSF and secure WordPress with Bruteprotect, iThemes Security plugin. I hope this helps you and other people from malicious hackers.
